I know it may not fit with popular opinion, but I love drool. I hate it when mommy tries to dry my face and hands. They were meant to be wet and sticky!

Faces
Today I am practicing making faces. This is my "Ooooh, look at the pretty puppy" face.
This is my "get me another toy or I will really scream!" face.
This is my "I smell something bad and it might be me" face.

CHRISTMAS!
Christmas is sooooo much fun! Did you know that? My Aunt Ali, Uncle Dan and their two dogs came to visit. We spent the morning opening presents and playing with our toys. I got so many presents, it was overwhelming. Dad helped me open mine because apparently licking the wrapping paper is not the best way to unwrap a present. I got books and balls, a pig, a duck and a penguin, and clothes of course.
I spent the afternoon watching daddy cook Christmas dinner. It all smelled so good. I sat in my big chair at the table so I could watch everyone eat. But I really wish I could have tasted it! My Great-Uncle Bob also joined us for dinner. I was on my best behavior for him.
In the end, it was a great day. I had so much fun playing with my family and getting lots of licks from the dogs. I hope Christmas happens again soon!

Sitting
Have I bragged lately about how good I am getting at sitting up? Here are some pics of me sitting like a pro. I don't mind falling on my face or to the side, but falling backwards really hurts!
Saturday fun
Yesterday I found out what my big chair is really for.... eating cereal!
My Aunt Ali also came to visit me yesterday. I showed off my mad rolling over skills and I could tell she was really impressed. She also laughed at my funny voice. I'm not sure how I feel about that. Anyway, she promised that she would be back Monday with Uncle Dan and their doggies. I can't hardly wait.

Big Chair
I got a new big chair today. Not sure yet what I'm going to do with it. So far I like the view of the living room and banging my toys on it. The banging is my new form of communication, because I still can't talk! It is so frustrating. And even weirder, Mom keeps telling me that I am a horse. What is that nonsense? I'm a baby silly!!

I've got mail
I love getting Christmas cards in the mail. Especially the edible ones. I started eating them today and I love it. In other news, daddy and I both have a cold. I've been coughing all day. Now mommy says that I have laryngitis. I don't know what that is but it sounds pretty bad. Every time I try to cry nothing comes out but a quiet little squeak! It is very strange. Wait a minute... I just had a thought. Do you think eating Christmas cards hurt my pretty voice? Hmmm. I will have to ask mommy, once I get my voice back.

Snow day
Mom and dad say that today is a snow day. So we get to lay around the house all day. After all the busy holiday shopping and parties it is good to relax. Abby and I are having lots of fun together. Today she even let me snuggle with her! Daddy also put me in a warm bear suit and we all went outside to feel the snow. I'm not too sure about snow yet. It is pretty to watch, but very cold.

Tooth!
Yes, you read it right. I got my first tooth today. It is all very exciting. Mom and dad keep sticking their fingers in my mouth so they can feel it. It is the bottom front left one. I'm not quite sure what I am supposed to do with it but it is interesting to feel it. I couldn't figure out how to take a picture of it, so here is just a picture of me enjoying my thumb.

5 months old!
Yea! Another month has gone bye-bye. I'm soooo mature and grown up now. I can roll onto my tummy from my back going to the right or left. I love to chew on my toes. I can sit up on my own for quite a while, unless I get too excited and try to reach for a toy far away. I can blow spit bubbles and make all kinds of sounds. I especially like to cough... that cracks me up. I recognize my mommy and sometimes it makes me cry when she walks away from me. (Why would she ever want to leave me!) I get to eat rice cereal and oat cereal! They are both very tasty. Daddy's smiles and buzzy noises and Abby's licks are my favorite sources of entertainment. I'm living the good life.

Fat man in the red suit
And I mean Santa, not me!
Mom and Aunt Ali took me to the mall to meet this Santa character today. He seemed very nice and was comfy to sit on. They tried to get me to smile for a picture but I was too worn out from a long day of shopping.
Also.... Today I figured out how to roll from back to front on my right side, instead of always going to the left. Now I can flip either direction! It is so much fun. Trouble is that once I flip there is no where else for me to go. That is really irritating.

Rolling Master
Two weeks ago I rolled over from my back to my front all by myself. Mommy and daddy were so excited. Then I decided to spend the next two weeks perfecting my ability to blow spit bubbles. Today I decided its about time I started rolling over again. I think they thought I had forgotten how. After a few minutes of huffing and puffing I was able to do it again, and now I'm a pro. Go ahead and put me on my back! I'll be on my belly before you can say "roll over". Finally I can do a trick that the dog can't do. Now if only I could figure out how to sit on my own.

Books!
I should add reading books to my list of hobbies. This is a great book, recommended by my little friend Nina. Not only is it fun to read, but it tastes good too.

Help!
Yikes! I'm being attacked by a crazy butterfly!
Just kidding. I still love to play with my little dragonfly, but this big butterfly is pretty cool too! I like to chew on its wings. Thanks Godmommy.

I'm very popular
I just got back from my second road trip. This time we drove to Cleveland to see my Grandma Sally and Grandpa Ron. Abby kept me company in the back seat of the car. I had a great visit. So many people wanted to see me. I got lots of time playing with my dad and my mom's cousins. I made sure to give them lots of smiles and talking. I think they were impressed. Here is a picture of me with mom's cousin Jason and his little girl Grace. She shared her toys with me and was really good at saying my name.

St. Cole
Don't I look like an angel? This weekend I went to a party in my honor. My Grandma and Grandpa, Uncle Dave, an my new Godmommy Beth and her family came to visit and play with me. I had so much fun. There was lots of food and a cake (which I wasn't allowed to eat). I got all dressed up and a nice old man put some water on my head and told me that I was destined for Sainthood. I'm feeling very grown up now. Here's another picture of me in my cool outfit.

Enough with the shots!!
Ouch!
Back to the doctors, and again it all started out fun. I love playing in front of the big mirror. I got weighed and measured and I'm still officially a big boy. I weighed 19 pounds, 10 ounces, which is over the 97th %tile; and I am 25.75 inches long, which is the 75-90th %tile. They also measured my head and said it is in the 95th %tile. My mom says it is because smart people have big brains. And then with no warning... bang, bang, bang, bang! Four nasty shots. Thankfully I am good at sucking my thumb now, because only my thumb and mommy holding me could make me feel better.

Four months old
Yep, I'm getting older every day. At 4 months I can sleep through the night, I can look to find mommy when I hear her voice, I can sit up with some support, I can use my hands to grab things, best of all I can smile and laugh a lot. My goal in life right now is to flip myself over, and I practice all the time. This past month I have done some really cool things, including visiting Aunt Ali and Uncle Dan, going on stroller rides in the woods, and voting for the Mayor of Columbus. Mom says that I am not too young to be a Democrat. Tomorrow I am going to the doctor for my 4 month checkup. I hope I get all A's again on my height and weight!

Rolling over
I'm working hard on rolling over. Last Sunday I accidentally flipped from my tummy to my back. I was trying really hard to watch the Brown's game, but the tv was not so easy to see, and before I knew it I was on my back! What a surprise. I haven't been able to do it again, but I know I'll get there. For now I'm practicing rocking back and forth on my belly.

I'm a morning person.
I love the morning. I like to start my day with lots of talking and fun time with mommy and daddy. After a big yummy bottle and a diaper change I am ready to play. Sometimes they don't seem as excited as I am. When I wake up really early they let me come play in their bed. I think they are hoping that I will fall back asleep, but I'm too smart to fall for that trick.

Boo!
Happy Halloween! I celebrated today by wearing orange, thanks to Grandma for my outfits. I also sat outside and watched mommy eat chocolate as we waited for trick-or-treaters. I met a very nice boy named Perry who was dressed like a lion. He is only 4 months old and lives right down the street. I hope I will be able to recognize him without that lion costume. Here are a few pictures from today.
Here is me ready for school.
Here is my best spooky Halloween face.
Whew! I'm beat.

Abby dog
For weeks now I've noticed this large, black, furry thing walking around, but I really wasn't sure what it was. Apparently she is a dog and her name is Abby. She likes to lick my face and hands. Hey! I like doing that too. We seem to have a lot in common. We both drool, we both love attention and we both talk in a different language from mommy and daddy. I know we haven't known each other very long but I sure do hope that we become good friends. Mommy has assured me that once I learn to pet her I'll be her friend forever.

Nap time
I just realized that my blog may be giving everyone the impression that I am a very active on-the-go baby. While I do have my moments (usually a few hours everyday), don't forget that I am still a baby. Here is a picture of me doing what I do best. Aaahhhh.... I love naps.

Happy Birthday Daddy!
Dear Daddy,
I wanted to be the first person to wish you a happy birthday this year. That is why I woke you up at 3am today and played with you for an hour. I am so happy that I get to celebrate with you. I got you a birthday card, but mommy signed my name in it. I may be able to use my hands to grab things now, but I still don't know how to write. I love you and Happy Birthday!
