Happy New Year!
I'm not sure what a New Year is, but this is what I learned tonight. When its New Year's Eve you dance with your mommy, count down from 10 to 1 and yell "Happy New Year!", then give everyone kisses.

JACK!!
Do you know who my most best friend is in the world? .... JACK! Jack from my old school. We were best friends for over a year before our parents pulled us out of preschool to go to different schools with Pre-K classrooms. I have missed him so much. I nagged mommy every couple weeks to call him and finally she did it. Today Jack came over to my house and played with me for seven hours! We played superheroes, fought light saber battles, played Lego Batman on the Xbox, and acted silly and wild the entire time. It was like Christmas day all over again. Finally we had to take him home and it made me so sad having to say goodbye and thinking about how I never get to see him. His mom and dad said I could come over to his house next time. Hopefully that will be sometime soon, like maybe tomorrow.
Park party
Yesterday mommy took me and Cole to a party at the metro park. A fun lady with a guitar sang songs for us while we danced, jumped, and sang along. She must of been good because I payed attention for the whole hour! Then we did lots of arts and crafts including decorating a cookie (yum), doing a snowflake scavenger hunt, coloring, playing with puppets, making animals tracks in fake snow, and making a snowflake crown.
Here's me with my fake snow. I really liked dumping the snow in my lap.
Here is my ridiculous snowflake hat. I think mommy liked it more than I did.
Oh yeah, and here a picture of Cole with some of the puppets. He told me that mommy takes him to preschool park programs all the time. I hope she takes me too when I'm in preschool.

Merry Christmas!!
Christmas was a few days ago. We spent Christmas eve driving around the neighborhood looking at lights and checking the Norad Santa tracker. Christmas morning I woke up at 7 and mom and dad came downstairs with me to see what Santa brought. We spent hours eating breakfast and opening presents. Daddy cooked a huge yummy dinner and we all ate it with Uncle Bob. I've spent every minute since Christmas morning playing with my family and my new toys. I wish it was always Christmas time. Spending day after day goofing off at home with mommy, daddy, Luke, and Abby is definitely my favorite.
My other favorite of course is all my new toys! I must have been a good boy this year because Santa and all my family got me everything I ever wanted for Christmas. Some of my favorites off the top of my head are...Santa got me the marshmallow shooting bow and arrow and a Green Lantern Costume. Mom and Dad got me Lego Batman for our Xbox. Ali got me a Flash costume, Batman underwear, and a mini trampoline. Grandma and Grandpa got me a Hot Wheels Wall Track. Nana and Grandfather got me a Toy Story Xbox game. I know there were tons more presents but those are the ones I've been using the most so far.
Luke likes all of my toys too and I'm doing a pretty good job sharing.
I think I will be doing this as much as possible for the next few years. Good thing mom likes to play too!

Thanks Ali! Now I can make Luke my official side kick.

Little elf
After watching mommy wrap a few presents I thought I'd give it a try. Two hours and a roll of tape later... I did it! Now we have one present under the tree. (Shhh, its my Captain America shield.)

Tradition
Tradition is doing the same fun thing every year. Making Christmas cookies was mommy's tradition growing up and now it is ours. Being good cookie decorators must run in the family.

First snow
It has mostly been cool and rainy here this winter. Everything I have seen and read about Christmas time says that snow is part of it. We finally got a little bit of snow outside, but not nearly enough. So Cole and I made it snow inside too!

Gingerbread program
Today I went to the metro park farm to learn about gingerbread. I smelled and touched all kinds of yummy spices, I listened to a story about a fast running gingerbread man, I made a Superman Gingerbread man out of paper, and I decorated (and ate) my very own gingerbread man cookie.
I also had time to look around the farm. They have lots of friendly turkeys and they really liked me! They followed me around the yard and down the road and they gobbled at me when I was talking to them. The sheep, cows, horses, and chickens were also nice, but not as fun as the turkeys!

I helped the farmers walk the turkeys back to the barn.
Christmas lights
Daddy covered our house with lots of Christmas lights. It must have taken lots and lots of daddys to cover the zoo with lights! We visited the zoo and saw a bazillion lights. We also saw polar bears, snakes, fish, and Santa's reindeer. Mommy's favorite was riding on the train and my favorite was riding on the merry-go-round... twice!

Play outside
I don't care if it's cold, I still like to play outside. I think I was the only kid riding his bike in the 30 degree weather. I lasted about 20 minutes, but in that time I rode my bike, collected acorns, danced in the gazebo, played with a magic wand, ran from the headless horseman, and looked at Christmas decorations.
Here's me giving mommy my "cutie-pie" face. I'm not sure what I look like but it does make her laugh!
All work
I like to look like I'm very busy doing important work. Later I have to ask mom what I wrote. One of these days I will randomly spell a real word.

News flash!
Today I did my first poop in the potty!!! I've been using the potty every night for months and also at school for the last two days. I'm clearly making progress towards big boy underpants!

Brave little boy
Today mommy took us to see Santa. I know all about Santa. I've read books and seen him on tv. I thought I was prepared. But I guess seeing the real guy is something else. In the two minutes we had to wait in line I went from excited to scared, crying, and wanting to leave. It was even hard to stay so close while Cole took his turn. When it was finally time to go, mommy told me that Santa was sad that I didn't want to say hi to him. Sad? I couldn't make Santa sad. That is just so, well, sad! So I dried my eyes, took a deep breath, and walked over to him. I said hi and he gave me a chocolate! That was very nice and not scary at all. I don't know what I was so worried about. I sat on his lap and talked to him and he gave me two more chocolates! (You can see my mouth is very full in the picture.) I couldn't think of any toys to ask for, but I did ask him if he eats cookies. He said yes, and I promised to leave him some at my house.
