Cold days
During the latest snow/cold day off from school I remembered that I have my own Legos. It takes me a really long time because I have to stop and play with each part I build.
Cole Johnston, film maker
I have been wanting to make movies for years but never had the right tools. Finally, I discovered the greatest app in the world! Just give me my iPad and my Legos and I will create a masterpiece. Here is my first short film. Mom says I need to work on the lighting, but whatever, I made a real movie!

Warm 30 degrees
This weekend it snowed a bunch and warmed up to 30 degrees. That means its time for snowball fights!
Hibernation
It has been super cold and snowy forever! Thank goodness for fun indoor activities like trips to the library and the World of Bounce.

Second Christmas
Grandma and Grandpa came down this weekend and brought Christmas! I knew there had to be a reason our tree is still up. They brought us great toys, like a Lego set and clock for Cole and a Scooby Doo Pirate play house and new pirate pjs for me!
We also made dot art, built a melting snowman, and played lots of board games. The only bad thing was that they only visited for a few days. Why can't they stay forever?!!!

What do I do when its freezing cold all the time? Watch Cole play games on the iPad and get poked in the eye with my bow and arrow.

Back to school... sort of
This week was my first week back after winter break. I thought it went pretty well. Monday and Tuesday were canceled because it was crazy cold outside. Wednesday was my first day back and by the time I got home I felt sick in my throat and all over my body. The doctor told me I have an infection like strep throat, so Thursday I stayed home. The medicine fixed me up quick and Friday I made it back to school. I like only going to school two days a week.
Mom caught me and Luke giving each other some spontaneous love and hugs before our first day back.

Mt. Vernon
George Washington had a great backyard. He would look at this very tree when he sat on the back porch!
Check out George Washington's bathroom!
We learned that every Christmas, they have a camel at Mt. Vernon. He was very friendly.
Here is me dressed up like George Washington in the kids play area of the museum. Don't I look super serious, like a president?

Ali Time
To celebrate the new year, mom, Cole and I went to Ali's house. Dexter taught us all about Transformers and we had light-saber battles. Ali let us sleep in a tent and exercise with her and Uncle Dan made us pancakes.

Happy New Year!
In 2014 I will turn 5, I will ride the school bus, I will go to Kindergarten, and learn to read. I think that's about it.
