I'm 5! Time to celebrate!

Did you know that I just had my birthday? I'm 5, I'm 5, I'm 5! That means I'm almost going to Kindergarten. I am super big now. I think my legs have grown. To celebrate my birthday we all spent the morning at Chuck E Cheese. The greatest place to party. Then we went home to eat my dinosaur cake and open presents. I got everything I ever wanted. It is great to be 5.

My morning birthday doughnut.

Check out my cool birthday hat.

Happy birthday to me!

I got lots of games and legos, and my most favorite... a light-up spark scooter!

Baseball MVPs

Today we played our third game and we won... again! I made my first outs ever, two of them. One when I was playing short stop and one when I was playing second base. It was the best ever. The coach gave me the game ball! I LOVE BASEBALL!!! Go Blue Jays!

Oh yeah, on Saturday Luke's coach gave him the game ball for doing so well fielding the ball when he was in the pitcher position. Now he thinks he's a big time player like me.

Last Day of School!

School is out for summer!!!

I had my last day at preschool. We celebrated with early birthday cupcakes that mom and I made.

It was also my last time playing at the bus stop and pretending that I'm going to get on too. Next time, I'll be riding with all the big kids!

School pool day and picnic

That's right! We went to the pool and had a picnic with our family. The last week of school is crazy fun.

Mrs. Cervantes gave each of us an award. Mine was for being a good friend to all my classmates!

Here is me with Panashe (and Luke)!

Graduation!

Its official. I am no longer a preschooler! Thursday night I graduated from preschool. I wore a cap and gown, sang lots of songs I learned this year, walked across the stage to get my certificate, and had cake and lemonade. I am so proud!

Here's me on stage. Can you see me sitting down in the middle?

We sang about the U.S. Presidents, the planet in our solar system, the vowels in the alphabet, and colors in English and Spanish. We also counted to 10 in Spanish. Here is one of my songs. Isn't it great?!

My teachers gave me two certificates, one for graduating and one for being the class's sweetest friend.

Miss Shannon is one of my teachers.

Miss Taylor is my other teacher.

My family is so proud.

Graduation party!

This week I graduated from preschool! Before our big ceremony we had a party in our classroom. I think mom, dad, and grandma had a lot of fun.

I love all my school friends! Here is me and Sebastian.

Lanie, me and Olivia!

I think that chair might be too small.

My teachers gave me a book of all the work I have done this year. It is huge!

Blue Jays are a winning team!!

I finished my first baseball game this week. It took two days because of a thunderstorm. We played really well, and won! I played first base, pitcher, catcher, and right center field during the four innings. I struck out one, and had three big hits. It is great to win!!

I think Luke enjoyed the game, too.

Wild Friday at School

There are only a few more weeks of school left and we have been doing a ton of fun stuff. We just finished our first week of a two week camp program. Every day we learn about wildlife, walk in the nature preserve, sing camp songs, talk about camp safety, we even sat in real tent and watched a naturalist make a fire with flint. Of course we also find time for math and language. We've counted and graphed how many of us have been camping, and we've learned about homophones like deer-dear and bear-bare.

Today we took time out for two exciting activities and mom came to our class to help out! In the morning, we rode the school bus to the high school football stadium to compete in the K1 Olympics. We won one game of boo yah and a relay race. We had lots of fun, but it wasn't enough for the golden shoe.

Me and my best friend at school, Arnav!

In the afternoon the art teacher helped us sign a brick and put our hand print on the wall. Mine is by the window near the gym. It will be there forever!

First Blue Jays tball game!

I've had quite a few practices with my Blue Jays baseball team, but tonight was our first game. I was so excited I ran all the way from the car to the field (which is actually a really long way), not waiting for mom or dad. We practiced a little and then played three innings against the Braves. I played first base! I learned that I need to touch first base as soon as a batter hits the ball. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do after that. Anyway, I had big hits and we tied the game, because there are no outs in tball!

Here we are warming up.

We were being good listeners when the coach was talking.

Look, I'm on first base!

Cole cheered for me!

Check out my first at bat. I took a warm up swing and then hit a big one.
