Look, no hands!

After months of mom and dad stealing the yummy dog toy away from me, I have worn them down. I guess you can add determined, stubborn, and relentless to my list of personality traits. Anyway, I think we all agree that life is easier if they just give me what I want.

Baby's best friend

I love my dog Abby, or Abbuh as I like to call her. She loves playing with me. Especially when I pull her tail, poke her in the eyes, climb over her, chew on her collar while she is wearing it, or just grab her fur in general. We played together a lot today, so I thought I'd share some pictures of us.

I sleep like a baby if...

1. I tell you that I am tired by yawning and/or leaning on you while sucking my thumb,

2. you give me a nice warm bottle, and

3. you cuddle with me on the couch until I am in a deep, deep sleep.

Flexible

Don't get me wrong, I love sucking my thumb. But sometimes I feel a little more adventurous.

Hilarious

Laughing is fun. I try to do it as often as possible. Sometimes its just a giggle or two and sometimes I start laughing and can't stop. In the extreme case I completely lose control of myself. Mommy caught me on tape with my recent laughing fit. I know there is no sound, but I think you get the idea.

My neighborhood

Mommy and daddy have told me that we live in Little Turtle. I never knew why until I went to our playground and actually met Little Turtle. If he's a little turtle I'd hate to meet a big one.

Race for the Cure

I did my second 5k race Saturday. This time daddy pushed me. There were tons of people, music, and my favorite... bananas at the finish line.

Communication

I am learning new ways to communicate every day. I don't know if I've officially said my first word yet, but I certainly can say many things. I say "ma-ma-ma" when I see mommy and need her to pick me up or pay attention to me. I can say "Uh-oh" when I hear someone else say it, or when I throw my sippy cup. I say "ah-buh" when my puppy dog comes in the room. And as of two days ago, I can wave my hand and say "buh-buh". This makes mommy and daddy very happy. Sometimes however my cute babbles are not effective and I have to resort to other methods. For example, here is a picture of me telling mommy to stop taking my picture and pick me up. Screaming helps me get my point across.

10 Months old

Whew! Another month has flown by. This month I learned new ways to play with my toys. I can stack the rings, put them into containers, and I can throw them across the room. I also love climbing stairs. I can make it all the way up to the second floor. I haven't said my first word yet, but I did just learn how to say "Uh-Oh". If I hear mom or dad say it I can say it back. I've tried a few new foods. Fig Newtons and Nilla Wafers are good, Stage 3 baby food dinners are terrible. I also ate a band-aid off my thumb while I was sleeping, but I can't say much about the taste... I was sleeping. Overall I can say it was a great month.

Mommy's Day

I wanted to make mommy feel special today, so I ordered her some flowers off the internet. Aren't they pretty! I love you mommy!!!

Field trip

What a beautiful sunny day! Mommy and daddy took me to a big park full of flowers, water, frogs, bridges, and trees. I got lots of sun and sniffed smelly plants. I hope we get to go back tomorrow.

Look at this cool toad mommy found! It hopped away before I could touch it.

Boundaries

I officially hate baby gates. How am I supposed to become independent if I can't get into the kitchen when I need something?

Diet

Slim Fast?!?! Come on, I'm not fat I'm just big-boned.

Zoom, zoom

I watch mommy drive all the time so this should be a piece of cake. Has anyone seen my keys?

Give me a suit and some sunscreen, and I'm ready for summer!
