Boo!

Happy Halloween! I celebrated today by wearing orange, thanks to Grandma for my outfits. I also sat outside and watched mommy eat chocolate as we waited for trick-or-treaters. I met a very nice boy named Perry who was dressed like a lion. He is only 4 months old and lives right down the street. I hope I will be able to recognize him without that lion costume. Here are a few pictures from today.
Here is me ready for school.

Here is my best spooky Halloween face.

Whew! I'm beat.

Nature calls

Yesterday mom, dad, Abby-dog, and I went for a nice long walk in the woods. The trees are very pretty right now. I had lots of fun. Mostly I stared at the leaves and sucked on my hands. Good times.

Abby dog

For weeks now I've noticed this large, black, furry thing walking around, but I really wasn't sure what it was. Apparently she is a dog and her name is Abby. She likes to lick my face and hands. Hey! I like doing that too. We seem to have a lot in common. We both drool, we both love attention and we both talk in a different language from mommy and daddy. I know we haven't known each other very long but I sure do hope that we become good friends. Mommy has assured me that once I learn to pet her I'll be her friend forever.

Nap time

I just realized that my blog may be giving everyone the impression that I am a very active on-the-go baby. While I do have my moments (usually a few hours everyday), don't forget that I am still a baby. Here is a picture of me doing what I do best. Aaahhhh.... I love naps.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Dear Daddy,
I wanted to be the first person to wish you a happy birthday this year. That is why I woke you up at 3am today and played with you for an hour. I am so happy that I get to celebrate with you. I got you a birthday card, but mommy signed my name in it. I may be able to use my hands to grab things now, but I still don't know how to write. I love you and Happy Birthday!

Yum!

Have I mentioned how great my hands are? Apparently they are not just for licking. They can also grab other things for me to lick. I especially like eating my little dragonfly. I wonder what my hands will start doing next!

Road trip

Yesterday mom and dad took me on my first road trip. We went to visit Aunt Ali and Uncle Dan who live in Dayton. The car ride wasn't bad, although after about 45 minutes of staring out the window I was pretty bored. Aunt Ali and Uncle Dan took us to a dairy in Yellow Springs. Apparently, because I am a native Ohioan I need to learn about farms, dairies, and such. We went in a corn maze, I watched them launch pumpkins in a field, and I got to meet some interesting farm animals. I had a great time and was exhausted by the end of it. By the way, I wasn't scared of that goat, I was just alarmed that he was eating my stroller.

Three months old!

Yea! I'm three months old today. I'm longer and stronger than ever. Mom and dad measured me and I am about 26.5 inches long and 19.5 pounds. My 6 month clothes fit me quite nicely. I've been having lots of fun smiling, making funny noises (my new consonants are l's and k's), sticking my tongue out, and playing with my hands. I'm getting much better at holding onto things. I especially love chewing on blankets now. I am also a really good sleeper at night. Last night I gave mom and dad an early 3 month old present, I slept 12 hours straight and my diaper didn't leak! Mom is also thinking that I might be old enough for a haircut soon. I like my hair the way it is though, it is easy for me to grab a handful of hair whenever I need one.

Ahhhh hands

These are my hands. They are so much fun. They are so easy to find whenever I need them. I especially love when they are all slimy. I do like to suck my thumb, but sometimes I suck on my whole hand instead or both thumbs at the same time. I like to mix it up.

Reading with Dad

Today I read a book to daddy. It was really fun! He said that it was the first book he had read in years. Poor daddy. Thankfully I have lots of books and I will help him read them all.

Check me out

I'm not trying to brag or anything, but check out those arm muscles. All my push-ups are paying off. I'll be flipping myself over in no time.

New toys!

Yesterday mom, dad, and I went to visit baby Luke. He has been letting me borrow lots of his clothes. This time he gave me toys! Here is me in my new Exersaucer. Even though I can't figure out how to use my arms to play with it, I do like sitting in it.
