Happy Halloween

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! TRICK OR TREAT!!! I love Halloween!!! I laughed, I cried, it was the best night ever. I dressed up as a fireman, Luke was a dinosaur, and Dexter was Spiderman. I went to all the Halloween houses and asked for candy. I got to eat a snickers and a tootsie pop. I got to give candy to lots of little kids. I also got very scared of anyone dressed up like a skeleton. Skulls are scary... no they're nice... no they're scary. Arg! I can't make up my mind about that one.
Here's my costume.

Here's my Tootsie Roll Pop. Yum!

Here's me trying to sneak more candy. Yummy CANDY, CANDY, CANDY!!

Roar

Last night mommy dressed me up as a dinosaur (thanks grandma). I don't know much about dinosaurs but Cole told me that they like to roar. Then I got to spend the evening sitting outside looking at our strange neighbors. All the kids including Cole were extremely fixated on the snacks in our bowl. I'm not sure what those were but they must have been good.

Eating tutorial

Did you know that mommy and daddy are teachers? I've decided to follow in their footsteps by being a teacher to Baby Luke. I've already had several sessions on thumb sucking. Now that Luke is eating cereal, I thought I'd teach him how to eat with a spoon. This is my demonstration of my advanced two-spoon technique. It'll be a while before he can do that one!

Say Cheese

Thanks for taking our picture Cole. You are getting really good with the camera.

Decorations

Do you like Halloween decorations? I love 'em! Our new neighborhood is full of pumpkins, skeletons, spider webs, and ghosts. Every day I ask mommy and daddy to take me on a walk so I can look at the Halloween houses. I like to stand on the sidewalk and stare at all the decorations. They are not real monsters, they are just pretend. They can't get me with their big teeth. A few days ago we saw a house with a really big doll that has red eyes and long hair. He's a nice doll. He's not scary. I told mommy and daddy that I wanted to give him a hug. Now I always ask them to take me on a walk to the Halloween houses and to the doll. Mommy let me borrow her camera and I took this picture of the doll. Doesn't he look nice?

On an unrelated note, last night I had to sleep in mommy and daddy's bed because I had a bad dream about skulls and big teeth. Don't know where I came up with that one.

tv time

When Luke first came home from the hospital I invited him to watch Caillou with me. He didn't seem too interested in it then, but he sure loves it now. Mommy and I try to tell him that he is too little to watch tv be he always manages to sneak a peak. I don't blame him. TV is awesome. Yooooo Gabba Gabbaaaaaa!!!! (He likes that one too.)

Sitting

Yea that's right. I'm sitting up... for at least 10-15 seconds at a time. But don't I look like a pro?

Lunch time

So Cole gets chicken and grapes and cheese and snack sticks for lunch and what do I get? Some plastic rings! And mommy wonders why I drool so much. Something is wrong with this picture.

Nature or nurture

Do I love to snuggle because I'm related to mommy? Or do I love to snuggle because mommy is always snuggling me? We may never know. Mmmmm, snuggles.

Monsters

Sorry Cole but I think that I am definitely the littlest monster.

Have a seat

In my new play room I have 2 tables, 6 chairs, 4 stools, and one rocking chair, all made for kids my size. Don't worry they can work for big people too. You're doing real good Grandma and Grandpa.

Swing time

Everyday when it is not raining I get to spend time on my new swing. Do you wanna try it too?

Yum... maybe?

This week I tried eating "real" food. If real food is runny white stuff that tastes like cardboard. I licked a Nilla Wafer once and this is no Nilla Wafer!

Play room

My play room is full of toys. Do you know what my favorite thing to play with is? The furniture!

4 months old

I turned 4 months old this week. I also moved into a new house this week. So between the move and hitting my developmental milestones, I have been very busy. This month I have perfected my ability to rollover from belly to back or back to belly. I also like to lay on my side. I can sit up on my own for about 5-10 seconds before I topple over. I love to lick my hands and forearms. Today I was able to get just my thumb in my mouth instead my entire hand. I hope I will become a thumb sucker like my big brother. I don't see many hand suckers walking around. I am still a 20 minute man. Eat for 20 min, lay on belly for 20 minutes, nap for 20 minutes, bouncy chair for 20 minutes, hold me for 20 minutes, repeat. I love people. I hate when people put me down and walk away. As long as I can see you or touch you I am pretty happy. Cole likes to tell me stories when I am sitting in my car seat waiting to leave in the morning. That makes me happy too.

First Saturday

Today was my first full day playing in my new house and my new neighborhood. My new neighborhood has something called sidewalks. You can walk and ride your bike on them and cars won't try to run you over! This place is great.
