This week I got my very own toothbrush and toothpaste. Its about time. Almost all of my baby teeth are in now. Anyway, I LOVE brushing my teeth. It is so much fun. If you haven't tried it, I highly recommend it.

Is Winter over?

Today was the first day this year that I got to play outside. I saw snow, ice, mommy's car, a kitty, and lots of dirt and sticks. Its so much better than inside. It made up for the three nasty shots I got at the doctor's today.

What's going on?

Today mommy and daddy picked me up from school and took me to a strange place where a lady put things on mommy's belly and they watched tv. The show didn't look interesting to me and I didn't like the tiny room. I cried and cried but daddy and mommy didn't want to leave. They kept saying things like, "See the baby on tv?" and "That's your little brother". But I don't know what they we're talking about. There was no baby I could see and the only brother I've ever heard of is in my "I'm a Big Brother Now" book. Really it was all very strange. I hope we never do that again.

words, words, words

I love to talk. I especially like to point out and name all the things I see around me. I'm not always sure what mommy and daddy talk about but they sure seem interested in what I have to say. My contribution to the conversation goes something like this, "mommy, daddy, Abby, Cole, car, apple, football, light, fan, shoe." Sometimes, however, I get really excited and I end up saying, "Baba gah daddy, up aaahhh, buh-buh bye, abby-abby-abby-abby, eeeeeee!" Maybe I'll grow up to be a teacher like mommy and daddy. I am very good at public speaking.

18 months

Attention everybody. I am now a year and a half old!

Everyday I am getting smarter and smarter. It would take all night to list my amazing accomplishments, so I will just name a few. I recently started saying two-word sentences. Mostly these are about bye-bye or night-night. I say "bye-bye Daddy" and "bye-bye Abby" when they go outside. I also like to put blankets on top of my toys when they are sleepy. So I say "night-night bunny", "night-night bear" (or car, ball, buckeye, daddy, mommy, abby, etc.). I also like to bring mommy and daddy their clothes, so I say "mommy shoes", "daddy hat", "daddy socks". Also when I am cranky or sleepy I say "mommy hair" and she lets me rub her hair so I feel better.
I also have learned to be more picky about what I eat. Supposedly when I was younger I would eat anything. Not so anymore! I tell mommy every day that I only want to eat bananas, apples, fishies (goldfish), and bears (teddy grahams), but she insists on trying to give me lots of other yucky things. Silly mommy. I also love coke and Doritos, but I have to ask daddy for that.
Finally, I am sad to say that my teachers at school have banned me from bubbles. Every day I ask them for bubbles. I will try to blow bubbles for hours. I need the bubbles, they make me happy. I know my chin was getting all red from all the bubbles and I had major tantrums when they tried to take them away, but still they just don't understand how much I like them. So I guess my bubble fun is over for now. Maybe they will forget in a few months and let me try again.

Videos

Mommy and daddy love to try to video tape me. What they don't know is that I would much rather direct than star. Give me that camera!

Christmas rewind

I forgot to tell everyone about how I went to see Grandma and Grandpa for Christmas. As usual I had lots of fun showing them all my new skills, like saying all the letters in the alphabet and naming my body parts. Not only did I get lots of good presents, but I got to eat yummy cookies and my Uncle Ken showed me how to play his bass guitar! I think I'm ready to join a band, or at least play Guitar Hero.

Cookie Monster!

Nina!

Yesterday I finally got to meet my fellow blogger Nina, and her mommy Anna and her daddy Noah (no-nah). We played with lots of toys, showed each other our bellies, and gave each other hugs and kisses. She is terrific!

Christmas presents

We finally got the computer working, so I'll do my best to share what I remember about Christmas. Mostly I remember opening lots and lots of presents with mommy, daddy, Ali, and Dan. I am really good at unwrapping. After my nap we ate a huge dinner that daddy cooked!

Thanks Nana and Grandfather. Toes, Ears, and Nose is my new favorite book. I love pointing out my body parts.

Just what every little boy wants, his own Elmo Potty Chair!

I know I got a lot of presents for Christmas, but I really, really like daddy's remote control car. Can I have it too?

Now that I don't (always) eat my crayons, mom got me a desk for coloring. Ali and Dan put it together for me.
Here's me and daddy with his beautiful turkey. Yum!
