Happy Easter

Easter is visiting grandma and grandpa, hunting for eggs, eating lots and lots of candy, and being really good in church.

Hunting for eggs at grandma's house.

Peeps!

We colored eggs and got to eat them. Yum!

Spring?

Mommy said that Spring started on her birthday. Then why does it still seem like winter? We looked all over the neighborhood for signs of spring.

Look! We finally found some flowers! Maybe Spring really is coming.

Spring Break

This is my first ever Spring Break and it is great. On Monday I met an artist who helped me make a real painting of a ladybug. On Tuesday mom took me and Luke to COSI. On Wednesday I went to Coco Key water park. On Thursday I went to a metro park class on frogs and rented a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle video game. And tomorrow I am going to Laser Kraze. How awesome is Spring Break?!

Here are some pictures of our day at COSI.

We felt tornado-like winds!

I stared at this thing for a long time. It made everything look really weird.

We went to three science shows, including one about weather. We even played in a cloud.

Look, we're in a submarine.

Space!

Mohawks!

Hot 40 degrees

What do we do when the temperature finally gets above 40? Take off our coats, shoes, and socks and play, play, play!

Spiderman!

Spiderman is my latest obsession. I've watched all four Spiderman movies, read lots of books, and researched Spiderman video games. I don't have a costume... yet. So for now I'll have to make my own.

Happy Birthday Mommy!

Today is mommy's birthday! Daddy, Cole, and I decorated the house and bought her a yummy cake. She really liked it when Cole and I told her she could be 25. We love you mom!

Fun after Mass

What's the best thing about going to church? Donuts afterwards!

It was also pretty funny hearing Luke ask Father Jerry if he can fly and call him God.

Dying

Have you ever been so hungry that you thought you might die? Well I have! Mommy offered me a sandwich, a yogurt, even some crackers. She didn't believe me when I told her that the horrible, painful hunger could only be fixed by gummy worms. Can't she see the agony I am in?

Amphibians

This week the Metro Parks taught me about amphibians. They are slimy creatures.

I liked the salamander because he looked fat.

I liked the frog because I watched him eat a worm.

I liked the toad because I got to touch his bumpy back.

Check out my frog tongue!

Climber

Spiderman's a good climber and so am I. Door frames and trees are my specialty.

Pancake day

Yum!

Johnston Maple Syrup

Thanks Slate Run Farm for teaching us how to make our very own maple syrup. This week we tapped our sugar maple tree. The sap is yummy!

Our milk jug filled up in just a couple of hours. We boiled down over two gallons of sap and got about 1/3 of a cup of syrup. Maybe by the end of the week we'll have enough for our Sunday pancakes!

Sleet

Winter sleet and rain keeps some people inside. It makes me want to play outside. I guess I just always want to play outside.
