Wild Wizard

Got my magic hat, magic wand, and magic boots. I can even make myself disappear!

Dentist!

Made it through my first dental cleaning and set of x-rays today. I got to have bubble gum toothpaste and they gave me lots of presents when it was over. I was the model patient. The tv on the ceiling playing Dora the Explorer probably had something to do with that.

Dressed up

Mommy took pictures today for our Christmas cards. I waited until after our photo shoot to spill juice and food all over my clothes. Here are a few pics that didn't make the cut.

Don't we look like angels? We fought over the box and I won. Cole's showing off his jumping skills. This is boring! No more pictures!

Dress code

I'm not Cole. I'm a werewolf building a werewolf house. Thank you very much.

Family

Did I forget to mention that Thanksgiving is also all about family? Especially cousins! I saw cousins from Daddy and cousins from Mommy. I love them all.

My cousin Joey let me wear his football helmet. How cool is that?!
My cousins Grace and Jason shared their cheesy bunny crackers with me.

Thanksgiving dinner

Thanksgiving is when you go to Cleveland and eat lots of yummy food. I did my best to try everything but really all I wanted was butter on my roll, cranberry jelly, and dessert. Because I ate so much cranberry jelly, grandma gave me a can to take home. I love it!

Thanksgiving fun

Thanksgiving is about:
1) watching movies in our new minivan as we drive to and from Cleveland
2) hugs and kisses with Grandma, Grandpa, and lots of other people I can't remember
3) feeding turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and corn to Abby
4) eating whipped cream, grapes, and zucchini bread

Yum

Action shot with Grandpa!

Theater debut

Sorry you all missed my thrilling one man show at the Barnes and Noble this weekend.

Decorations!

I missed my Halloween decorations so much that I convinced mommy to start decorating for Christmas! These decorations aren't scary or spooky, but they are pretty and twinkly. Guess that'll do.

Hat!

Forgot to mention that I can also say the words "baby" and "hat". Hat definitely comes in handy when my head gets cold. I'm also good at putting my hat on all by myself.

Just trying it out

If you've spent any time with Cole then you know he is into hair. Just thought I'd try out his patented thumb suck-hair playing move. Eh. I don't think its for me.

Christmas tree?

Today I saw my first Christmas tree of the season. I can't really remember what our home tree was like last year, but I thinking it was almost as big. Right?

Sneaky

Bed time is way overrated. My latest strategy is to sneak downstairs about an hour after I go to bed. Then I act really, really cute and ask if I can watch grown up tv with mommy and daddy. So far it seems to be working.

Science

I'm not quite sure what science is, but based on my experience science is mainly about splashing in the water and flying helicopters and spaceships. That's pretty cool.

Super fun Thursday

Can you think of a better way to spend a Thursday than playing all day at the science museum and eating popcorn and watching Toy Story 3 for dinner? Didn't think so.

I've been to COSI (our science museum) several times before, however now that I am a big three year old I decided that in addition to playing, and showing things to Luke, I investigated some of my future career options. I learned about being a doctor, a builder, a behavioral psychologist, or a superhero. They all seem like so much fun... not sure yet which one I will pick.

Cole the doctor? Cole the builder? Cole the behavioral psychologist who uses operant conditioning to train rats to play basketball? Cole the superhero who has the strength of 20 men and can make objects float with his mind?

Translator needed

Believe or not I'm making some progress with my vocabulary. For a while now I've been able to say uh oh, no, Mommy, Cole, "daddy" (which means Abby), "puppy" (which means pumpkin), "wa wa" (water), hi, bye, ball, nose, eye, and bubble. I'm also a pro at saying "muh" plus hand signs when I want more and singing the vowels in "the end" when a book is over. In the last week however I've been adding a bunch of new words to my vocabulary, including "da da" (yea daddy for getting a name!), fish, toes, juice, plane, bird, car, cup, light, and turtle. I also say "yo yo" for my favorite show, Yo Gabba Gabba. I make "sh" noises for socks and shoes. I point and say "dah?" when I'm asking about something. Mommy and some of my teachers have consistently heard me say all of those things. I swear! Really I swear! It may not sound like it to anyone else, but I'm doing my best. Mommy is very good at translating.

I suppose talking with a mouth full of grapes doesn't help either.

Tough kid

I was born tough. I easily recover from the countless bumps and bruises I get every day. Today I was tough enough to only wear one mitten and to get right back up after being run over by Cole. Could you do that?

Movies

I've counted them all and realize I don't have nearly enough. Where's Harry Potter #6? Where's Star Wars 2, 3, 4, 5, & 6? Where's Ice Age 2? Jeez!

Weather

Its starting to get cold here. Pretty soon we'll be playing more indoors than out. I wonder if daddy's racquetball will still taste as good inside.

Anger Management

I'm good at talking about lots of things, even my feelings. Believe me if you make me mad I will let you know. Tonight daddy yelled at me after I accidentally cracked mommy in the head with my light saber. Can you believe him? I immediately told him, "I don't like that! You aren't my friend anymore! You are friends with no one!" I may only be 3, but I'm already perfecting my ability to deliver a verbal smack down.

Dinner time

Every day I watch mommy and daddy make me dinner. I think I've got the routine down.

Put place mats on the table.
Get clean dishes out of the dishwasher.
Cook the mac-n-cheese.

Eat, eat, eat!

Jedi in training

Can one boy have too many light sabers? I think not.

I'm also teaching Luke the ways of the force so he can be a great Jedi like me.
