Photography

I love to take pictures, so mommy gave me my own camera. I may only be 2, but I know it doesn't really work. I can't see any pictures and it needs batteries. It is fun to pretend anyway. I tried to trick mommy into giving me her camera by telling her that her name is Cole and my name is Mommy thus it is actually my camera. Unfortunately she was not fooled.

At least Ali game me her iPhone so I could use that to take pictures. Just give me a little time and I know I will figure it out.

You talking to us?

Look at me!

Over the last few days I have started to realize that tummy time may be for more than sleeping. So, I finally started picking my head up to look around. I wanted to show mom that I am a quick learner so I decided to roll over 3 times yesterday. Twice on her soft comfy bed and once in my crib. Does that sound like an official roll over?

Suck

Sucking is the best. I wish I could suck my thumb like my big brother. Thanks Cole for showing me how its done.

Boxes

This week I got to go to a really cool store called Home Depot. They have hoses and hammers and lights and refrigerators. They also have boxes. We got a few for me to play in. Mommy says we need them to pack our stuff. I hope she packs me because boxes are fun.

Discipline

Sometimes I'm good and sometimes I'm bad. Hard to imagine, isn't it? I am learning that it is not nice to hit or kick your friends. It is also not nice to say "Shut up!". Those kinds of things get you a trip to the time out corner. That is no fun.

Hey Babies

Who knew there were so many out there like me. Hi Dexter and Ewan!

Recovery

Sick: Turns out I had an ear infection. How that made my eye lids red and puffy, I don't know.

Better: Yummy pink medicine cures all! Now I can get back to enjoying myself.

I've got the fever

Do I look sick to you? The thermometer doesn't lie. I've got my first official fever, peaking at 102 degrees. Fevers mean lots of sleeping, snuggling, and blankets. I also have a stuffy nose that seems to get worse during the night. Mommy was nice enough to keep me company at 4 am when I had trouble sleeping. I'll try to pay her back by sleeping a lot today.

Another road trip

This weekend we all went to Grandma and Grandpa's again. While we were there I got to go to the zoo. I saw lots of monkeys and lions and birds, but the best thing was the dinosaurs. I know they were just pretend but they sure looked and sounded real.

I also got my very own Happy Meal. Yum!

Wild weekend

This weekend I learned that women love me. On Friday my fellow blogger Nina came to visit. Apparently I am irresistible because she couldn't keep her hands off me. I can hardly get my fingers in my mouth let alone give out hugs and kisses! On Saturday I went to a party with all my daddy's cousins. I spent the whole night being passed from girl to girl. I gave them as many cute smiles as I could. Its good to be me.

Table manners

Finally the high-chair is all gone and I get my own table just like at school. The best thing about eating at the table is that I can get up and run around whenever I want. Now I can put my peanut butter and jelly fingers all over everything!

2 month checkup

Two months have come and gone since I was born and I've got the 4 shots to prove it! I don't think doctors appointments are the best way to celebrate. This month I have gained 2 pounds, weighing in at 12 lbs. 7 oz. (75 %tile) and I am 23 inches long (50 %tile).
Aside from that, it has been a busy two months. I have been to Cleveland, Oberlin, Medina, and Dayton. How many cities can you visit in Ohio? (Mommy says that Cincinnati is next.) I am a happy, relaxed baby. I like to smile and coo at mommy and daddy. My main activity is sleeping and I have no trouble sleeping from 9 pm until 9 am, only waking up once to eat around 5:30. I'm also getting good at taking a long nap from 1-4 pm, in addition to my little 15 minute power naps. And I spent my first night in my crib last night. I don't think Cole minds sharing a room. He poked his head over the rail and said hi to me first thing in the morning.
This week I have been working hard on getting my hands into my mouth. It is tough but I am being persistent.

My family weekend

This weekend I had to spend a lot of time in the car. I wish someone would invent a car seat where I could lay on my stomach. That would be so much better. I also spent a lot of time this weekend sleeping and being held by my grandparents. The holding I liked, the car time not so much.
Here's me having some quality bonding time with Dexter in Oberlin. Thanks for sharing your pack-n-play!
Here's me and Nana.

Here's me and Grandma.

Here's me and grandfather.

Family weekend part 2: Medina visit

On Sunday, we left Grandma's and went to see Aunt Cindy and her family for lunch. I got to visit with Aunt Cindy, Uncle Ned, Amber, Jason, baby Jason, Rob, Ali, Dan, Dexter, and best of all Grace. She is sooo much fun to play with. We raced around the house about 20 times and jumped on Dan and Uncle Ned. She showed me her puzzle and her blocks and we played in the backyard.

What a terrific weekend! I officially love, love, love cousins.

Family weekend part 1: Oberlin visit

This weekend we went to Cleveland and visited with Grandma and Grandpa. Then Saturday we went to a big party where I got to meet all of mommy and Nana's relatives. There were sooooo many people there. I don't know if I got a chance to say hi to all of them. My favorite was playing with my cousin Max.

Ali took lots of pictures of everyone. Look at all of us!

Here is me with daddy, mommy, Luke, Grandfather, Nana, Dexter, Ali, and Dan.

Here is me and my family with Dexter, Ali and Dan, and Max with his mommy Jeanne and daddy Kelley.
I also had to tell you that I walked around downtown Oberlin where they were having some kind of party. Anyway, they had firefighters there with their fire truck. They let me sit in the truck and touch their backpacks that they fill with air and use to help them breathe in a fire. I was a little overwhelmed by how big everything was, after all I'm just a short little 2 year old!
