My Toad!

Daddy caught me my very own toad! I got to pet him and hold him and talk to him and feed him ants. I even let him sit on my knee. Daddy also told me that toad missed his mommy and daddy so I let him go in the back yard. I hope he comes back tomorrow.

Exercise

After an intense workout of lifting up my head, I like to drink a nice big bottle and take a nap. Now that is a productive morning.

Conspiracy

So Mysterio predicts that I will be a conspiracy nut. That is ridiculous.

Although I have been wondering why I seem to have an outie belly button. Mommy, Daddy, and Cole all have innies. So why the outie? Hmmm? I'm sure there's nothing in there. Why would anyone want to mess with me? I'm just a baby?

Hey Cole, look at me!

I've been told that Cole likes fire trucks. I think this shirt should get me lots of love.

Sleep accidents

You would think that sleeping would be a safe activity, but maybe not. In my short life I have had two sleep accidents. Once I was rudely awakened by Cole tipping me out of my bassinet. And once I slowly scooted myself off the comfy ottoman. I guess you shouldn't hang your head over the edge when it is the heaviest part of your body. With this in mind you can't blame me for being a little wary about where I sleep. I'm getting paranoid that when I'm asleep certain people are watching me and contemplating where they want to poke me.

tv theme songs

Who needs to watch tv when you can sing the songs yourself. Here is the end of SuperWhy.

Translation: Hip, Hip, Hooray. The Super Readers saved the day!

Imagination

It may be Whinny-the-Pooh's tree house but my dinosaurs, trucks, and Spider get to live there too. Mommy likes to ask if its Tigger's turn to ride in the bucket. Too bad for Tigger. It is always Spider's turn because spiders are awesome.

Hair loss

My red hair is slowly disappearing. I thought I wouldn't have to worry about a receding hairline until I was all grown up. On the bright side, this means less shampooing.

2 year check up

Today I saw the doctor for my 2 year check up. He was extremely impressed with my strength and intelligence. After measuring me, he predicted that I would be at least 6 ft. 2 in. as an adult, which is bigger than daddy! I am still in the 90th %tile for height and weight, and I am over the 97 %tile for head size. I have a huge brain. He wanted to see me walk and jump, so I obliged and did the Jumping Jellyfish Song and Dance from Yo Gabba Gabba.

I also thought I'd show you my excellent hand-eye coordination with this t-ball video. I'm ready for the major leagues!

Also, See my birthday video that Aunt Ali made on youtube

Smile!

I've been smiling at mommy and daddy for over a week now and they finally got a picture. I've also been learning how to make little noises, like oooh and aaah. Mommy gets very excited about that. I'm not sure why, it is not nearly as impressive as my imitation of an angry feral cat.

Arm rest?

Happy Birthday to me!

Just like Mommy and Daddy told me, today we had a big party to celebrate me turning 2 years old. Our house was decorated with dinosaur pictures and balloons, and Mommy made me birthday cup cakes. Lots and lots of people came to the party, including Mommy, Daddy, Luke, Abby, Grandma, Grandpa, Ali, Dan, Dexter, Todd, Brent, Shannon, Denny, Taylor, Nancy, Michael, and Tyler. Wow. That is a lot of people! They were all so nice to give me books, a Mr. Potato head, a baseball glove, a tee-ball set, sidewalk chalk, a motorcycle, a tricycle and many, many other cool toys. In exchange I gave them lots of hugs and dinosaur tattoos. Todd even put one right on his forehead! (See picture below.) Overall I had a super fun time, even though I fell off my tricycle, I didn't always want to share, and hearing everybody singing "Happy Birthday" freaked me out. I wish all my family and friends could have come.
By the end of the party I needed another nap! Taylor is still going strong. Maybe I will have more stamina when I am 3 years old.

Quality time

Daddy and I have a lot in common, we both love to take naps. Must be in our DNA.... Or maybe he was just giving me extra love before I had to go get a shot from the doctor. Hmmm. Daddy is very tricky.

What holiday?

I'm glad Cole blogged about his 4th of July. That's not quite how I remember it. The day started with Cole waking me up by tipping over my bed. Not the greatest of beginnings. Then I spent a lot of time in the stroller and under some kind of tent at a strange person's house. I also remember some really loud bangs waking me up a little later that night. But overall, I think my sleeping got in the way of celebrating. Maybe I'll try harder to stay awake next year.

Happy 4th of July!

Wow, what a day! The 4th of July is officially my favorite holiday. In the morning we went to a parade and saw fire trucks, tractors, marching bands, kids on bikes, boy scouts, horses, and (best of all) Spiderman. I got to clap a lot and catch candy! Then we went to a friends house and played with all kinds of toys in their backyard. While we were there I got to go on a big kids swing and daddy pushed me so high that when I let go I flew off, did a somersault in the air, and landed on my face and belly. I bit my tongue and had a mouth full of blood, but a cold popsicle fixed that quickly. (I also shut my thumb in the door and scraped my leg on some steps.) After a late nap, we went to see the fireworks. They were loud like a drum and way up high in the sky. I wasn't scared at all. I thought they looked like big spiders and circles.
I did fall asleep while I was eating chips and salsa, what can you expect 2 hours past my nap time. I'm just glad mom and dad woke me up later for the fireworks.

Busy day

Afternoon at the park

Have I mentioned that I LOVE THE PARK! Well I do.

Can you see me?

There are butterflies at the park too.

Here's Luke at the park. I wonder if he likes it as much as I do.
