Dress up

Ever since the firemen came to visit me at school a few weeks ago, I have been obsessed with all things firemen. I tell mommy great stories like, "Fireman big boots, hat. Fireman backpack, hose mouth breathe. Fireman big coat, boots! Cole fireman! Cole sit firetruck." I guess mommy was listening. She got me my own fireman coat and boots. Now I can be a fireman too.

Gardening

Daddy taught me how to plant flowers this weekend. He even let me use the hose! Sunny weather sure makes life more fun.

Tent time

Tents are fun to take naps in and hide in. I like to play with my toys in it. My Spiderman tent is so big that I was able to put my football, round balls, Elmo backpack, Caillou books, dinosaur books, teddy bear, bunny, 7 trucks, socks, phone, water, tissues, and choo-choo train inside it. Plus me of course!

Bedtime routine

After dinner, potty, a bath, pj's, teeth brushing, and reading a few books, I'm ready to go to bed.... on mommy. Don't even think about messing with my bedtime routine.

Random stuff

- I have officially moved on to 3 word sentences. My favorites are "Mommy/daddy get it!", "Cole do it!", and "One more time."
- I also love to ask "What is that?" all the time. Of course most of the time I already know the answer, but I just want to see if mommy and daddy know too.
- I can sing lots of songs. To name a few: Happy Birthday, Row, row, row your boat, Ring around the rosy, Itsy Bitsy Spider, and Following the leader.
- My new favorite tv show is Caillou. I ask to watch it all the time, but I only get it once or twice a day.
- I can count to 10 in order.
- Almost every night before I put on my p.j.'s I go pee-pee in my potty and do the Happy Potty Dance to celebrate.
- When I ride in the car I make sure to point out all the school buses, police cars, and flags along the way. I also point out all the robots to mommy, but she doesn't seem to know what I am talking about.
- I have convinced mommy and daddy that the best way for me to go to bed at night is by falling asleep on mommy.
- I have also taught mommy and daddy to only feed me fruit, yogurt, cheese, and goldfish, with an occasional PB&J or piece of ham snuck in.
- Mommy and daddy tell me I am a smart little boy, and I agree.

Windy day

We only went to the park for an hour today, but I still had time to go on the slides, fly my first kite and swing in a big kids swing for the very first time. I cried when we had to go home and then the tricky car made me fall asleep. I love the park.

What?

Is there something on my nose?

Milestone

Tonight I went pee-pee in my potty for the first time. Mommy and daddy were so excited. We all ran around the room cheering. Sorry I don't have any video of that for you.

Park

Now that the weather is nice I ask mommy and daddy to take me to the park nearly every day. And most of the time they do. Sometimes I get to play on the swings and slides. Sometimes daddy carries me in his backpack in the woods. The other day I got to play on a bridge and in a tree. I love the park. One of my favorite sentences is, "Mommy daddy car park".

(Cole translation, in case you needed it: "Daddy picture. Daddy. I did it.")

New bed

This week daddy brought home a new crib for my room. I'm not entirely sure why because my bed is perfectly fine. I keep hearing that a baby is going to be sleeping in it, but I'm not a baby anymore. The best thing about the new crib so far is the box it came in.
