Halloween story time, with Cole

Do you have 10 minutes to listen to a scary story? Here's my absolute favorite story, Tell Me a Scary Story, But Not Too Scary! by Carl Reiner. I can "read" the whole thing!

New Friend

What's your name again? Boney? Sounds good. A spooky skeleton friend is perfect for Halloween.

Nana time!

Nana is here to celebrate my favorite holiday.... Halloween! So far I've shown her around my neighborhood, taken her on a trip through the metro park, and given her some Angry Birds advice.

Party with the other school

Cole's new school is a very different place from my school because it has different kinds of classrooms, teachers that I don't know, and lots of stairs. Normally I only go in to drop him off and pick him up, but this week they invited me to a Halloween party. I love parties! I wore my old fireman costume and Cole went as Superman. I saw lots of other Supermans, but I was the only fireman.

I went trick-or-treating in all the rooms. I made a ghost out of a lollypop. I made my own pumpkin out of paper and glue. I played with all the toys I could find. And I went in a bouncy house!
I was too young for a cooking lesson, but Cole let me have a big bite of the sandwich that he made.
(See Superman, Superman, and Supergirl all making cream cheese and bacon wraps.)

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Happy birthday you,
Happy birthday you,
Happy birthday you daddy,
Happy birthday you.
Blow da candles.
Yea!!!!!

Switcheroo

Fooled ya! After careful research I have learned that Superman is much more powerful than Batman. Superman is an alien and is faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locamotor, and can leap buildings in a bound. I don't think I could find a better superhero.

Decisions, decisions

What should I be for Halloween this year? Maybe.... Batman?

Halloween practice

Halloween is still a few weeks away, but there are plenty of Halloween parties to go to. I practiced trick-or-treating at Gahanna creekside. Thanks to my daily Halloween discussion with Cole I have no fear of costumes or spooky decorations.

Steelers

Do you remember that I'm on the Steelers football team? No? That's ok, I forget all the time too. I play on Sundays. My favorite part is when I get to come out of the game. I also like chewing on my flags, taking a nap on the field, and waiving hi to my mom. Football is really fun.

Sweets and Grandma

Sometimes I go see Grandma, sometimes Grandma comes to see me. This time I did both! When I'm with Grandma I get McDonald's for lunch and ice cream for dinner. I get to go swimming, dress up in my costumes, sing her songs, take her to story time and to many, many Halloween stores. I hope all this excitement helps me forget that mommy is leaving me for two days. Hmmmm. More ice cream please!

Not scared!

See, I'm not scared! Creepy is the new funny.

Visit to the Fire Station

Our fire station invited us to come over to meet the firemen and see all their stuff, so we did. I sat in all kinds of firetrucks, big and small, new and old. I tried on their hats and boots. I ate their hot dogs, chili, and punch. I watched them cut open some crashed up cars. I jumped in a bouncy house. Luke and I even each had a turn to use the fire hose. Hmmm, maybe I should be a fireman for Halloween. They are extremely cool!

Here's me shooting at the pretend fire and there's Luke below.

They even flew in a helicopter! We watched it land and got to sit inside.

Baker's helper

Cole bakes the cakes and I lick the bowl!

A big boy

gets a big boy bed!

I never actually jumped all the way out, but mom finally decided to give me the freedom I was looking for anyway.

Over there

I wonder what life is like on the big kid side...

Happy Birthday Grandma!

I hope you had a great birthday today, Grandma. I worked very hard on your birthday card. It makes me sad to think that you didn't have a party so I think I will have to give you one next week. I asked mom if we could put up decorations and bake you a cake and she said yes. I also asked her how many candles you would need but she wouldn't tell me. She just said it was a lot more than 4. Luke and I will be practicing our Happy Birthday song until we see you!

Lightsaber Party

This weekend was my friend Luke W.'s birthday. He had a super-cool lightsaber party. We played pin the lightsaber on Yoda, played with lightsabers made out of pool noodles, smashed a Darth Vader pinata, and ate an Anikan cake. I wish it was almost my birthday.

Washing

Sometimes it is hard for mommy to play with me because there are so many chores that have to be done. Today I volunteered to clean the kitchen sink while she cut out coupons. I scrubbed and scrubbed for 20 minutes! I'm a good cleaner.
