Nature Walk

Check out my sweet ride.

Daddy picked out this great backpack so that I can enjoy long walks in the woods. I did practice saying "tree" and saw lots of pretty flowers, but my eyes just got so heavy. I'll try to stay awake next time.

Meet Kitty

This is my pet Kitty. Unlike Abby, she lets me pinch her, sit on her, and throw her. I also like to say her name, Kitty, Kitty, Kitty!

Left behind

Daddy and Abby go out on walks all the time. I'm jealous. I need walks too!

What does the lion say?

ROAR!!!!

Ferocious, aren't I.

Legos

Who knew these things fit together?! I thought they were just for throwing.

Handy-man in training

I see Daddy fixing things around the house all the time. This week I've been watching him pound bricks, roll in dirt and gravel, and wear safety glasses. How come he gets to have all the fun? Now that I've mastered my hammer and paint brush, I should at least be able to use some power tools.

Sorting

This sorting thing is a piece of cake. I don't know why I used to think it was hard. I guess it is easier now that I put the pieces in the holes instead of my mouth.

Let's go!

Have I mentioned I'm a morning person? Sometimes it takes mommy soooo long to get moving. Doesn't she know I have important people to see and places to go?

Read to me

NOW!!!

Every day I must read all of my 30-some books several times. And, I need mom or dad to turn the pages and read with me. Don't get in my way. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry.

Dental Hygine

I haven't yet mastered the toothbrush. But who cares, Q-tips work just as well.

Olympics

Go USA!

Zoo day

For months now I've been reading books full of strange looking animals. I was beginning to think they were just all made up. But yesterday I actually saw some of them! I saw a turtle, a baby alligator, wolves, bears, deer, moose, a cougar, lots of birds, bison, monkeys, otters, horses, and my favorites: goats, gorillas, and lots of other kids. I can't wait to go back!

Look at me

I practice my walking every day. Now I can make it all the way across the living room! Here is a silent video of me walking to mommy. (Mom really needs to work on her videotaping skills!)

Medic!

Is there a better way to kill a few hours of your evening than visiting an Urgent Care? I don't think so! Today I came down with a mysterious grunting disease. Symptoms include lots of grunting, a low grade fever, periods of crankiness and a 20 minute crying jag. So mom and dad took me to visit a Pediatric Urgent Care. My nurse was very nice. She blew lots of bubbles to help me forget the awful thermometer in the butt trick. After an hour I felt much more like my smiley happy self, and we got to go home. I still have the grunting noises, but I guess that isn't an official illness. Maybe they are like the hiccups and will be gone when I wake up in the morning.
Actually I am just trying to get more tongue depressors for my collection. I got one tonight, one at my 1 year check up, and one last week when I burned my hands and arm on a slide at school. I do think my grunting problem is my most creative illness yet.

Pointing

I have recently discovered pointing as a way of communicating. It is nice to have another move besides crying to help me get what I want. Sometimes I point at things I need, sometimes I point at things that are interesting, and sometimes I am just trying to help out. For instance, Abby didn't notice her water bowl and she sure looked thirsty. So I pointed it out to her.

I've also learned a few new words this week: bubbles, kitty, and mommy (that's a really good one).

What's your sign?

Mine is cancer. I hope that is why Grandma got me this t-shirt.

P.S. My thumb-sucking/hair-twirling combination does the weirdest things to my hair.

Future architect?

Building block towers takes intense concentration, but I am up to the challenge.

Uh oh. I'm running low on supplies.
