School's out for summer!

I'm done with Kindergarten! I had a great final report card. My reading, writing, and math are all achieving or extending. I can read! I can add and subtract! And I've officially been promoted to grade 1. This week we had a party in my classroom. Mom, Dad, and Luke came in for snacks and met all my friends.

Here's me and Mr. T. He is the best Kindergarten teacher ever.

My classmates and I are showing off our garden. Here's me and Dylan.

Me and Conrad.

Me and Izzy.

Emma O., me and Mahima. We sat together for the second half of the year.

Today was my last day on the bus. Mom finally let me wear a mohawk to school.

After school, Luke W. had a big party at his house. We played with water guns, the slip-n-slide, and water balloons.

Dex, Luke, and I helped Luke W.'s neighborhood welcome home the big kids on the afternoon bus.

I LOVE SUMMER!

Nature with Dexter

Dexter has been living in the desert for the last three years. I'm showing him what Ohio nature is like. At the park program we learned about wild and not wild animals, we touched a turtle and a chicken, and we saw a wild turkey. When we got home we took a long walk in our woods.

T-ball with Dex

Did I mention that Dexter is on my t-ball team? We are both Orioles. Our first game was rainy and chilly but we still had fun.

Run Dex, run!

Shopping

Ali and Mom sure like to go shopping. At Meijer the cake bakers asked if I wanted a job. I said yes of course!

I never get tired of going to Home Depot.

Higher!

Road Trip

Mom and I drove with Ali and Dex from Albuquerque to home. It took three days. We saw New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio. That's a lot of states. The best parts of the trip were swimming in the pools at the hotels. Here are some highlights!

Route 66

The Children's Museum in Indianapolis was amazing! Here's me with a transformer.

The museum had a Hot Wheels exhibit. I could have stayed there all day.

They even had a dinosaur room. We touched a read bone.

We saw a real mummy!

Monkey bars

I can do the monkey bars! Three cheers for my increasing upper body strength!

We went to Albuquerque

Yes we did! Mommy and I went to New Mexico to get Aunt Ali and my cousin Dexter. It was a great adventure. I flew on two airplanes. One of the flight attendants liked me so much that he introduced me to the pilots.

Dexter showed me his house, his toys, and his favorite playgrounds. They live on an Air Force base. Ali gave Dan and Dexter a hair cut, and mommy let her cut my hair too.

Albuquerque is a desert. There aren't many trees and flowers. Instead there are big mountains, rocks, and cacti. Ali and Dan took us on a trip up to the top of a mountain. We rode up, up, up.

Ali also took a picture of me and Mom in front of a car wash. She said it was a car wash from a tv show called Breaking Bad. I think that is grown up stuff.

I will miss Albuquerque. I was only there a day and a half, but it was a fun time!

I play baseball too!

After two years of watching Cole play baseball, its finally my turn! I am on my very own t-ball team called the Orioles. I have a team hat and shirt and my neighbor gave me a baseball glove. Last night I showed everyone how good I am at hitting the ball and throwing. I learned to run the bases, which was very fun. I'm not sure if I like wearing my glove for more than a minute. It feels weird and makes my hand feel sweaty. By the end of our first inning I started to like playing in the field. Basically you just wait till the other team hits the ball and then you run as fast as you can to try and get it first. And you have to make sure that you don't get mad or cry if you don't get the ball. Overall I think t-ball is awesome. I can't wait to bring Dexter next week. He is on my team too!

My fielding strategy was to squat on the pitchers mound with a friend and then run to the ball.

Today I'm flying to New Mexico with mommy to get Ali and Dexter. We are going to bring them back to our house! I'll take lots of pictures of our trip.

A's

I played great in my first real baseball game. The games are 4 innings long and an inning ends after 3 outs or 5 runs. You get 7 pitches when you are at bat. I was up three times and always got a big hit. I played 3rd base and left field. I made an out when I caught a ground ball and tagged 3rd before the runner got there. Everyone was very impressed by that play. I think it might have been the only fielded out. Apparently we lost a close game, but I don't know what the score was. I sure felt like we won because I did great!

Snacks!

News flash!

My two front teeth on the bottom are loose! I can't stop wiggling them with my finger. How much money do you think the Tooth Fairy will give me for them?

Mother's Day recital

Friday we had a big mother's day party at Ready Set Grow. We sang all of our songs, talked about our moms, and ate snacks and drank lemonade. I love moms and I love parties. Even grandma and grandpa came to see my show!

During the show I sat next to my best friend, Luke W.

Here's our song about the U.S. Presidents.

Here's our song about kids all over the world.

I sang this song to mommy.

We sang other songs about the continents, the states, and a goodbye song. If you want to watch those you can go to my youtube channel. www.youtube.com/hmmoynihan

Happy Mother's Day!

Pirate gymnast

All year at school I have been taking gymnastics lessons with Miss Krista. Today was our big show! Mom, Dad, Cole, Grandma and Grandpa came to watch. I was a great pirate!

This is my Peter Pan pirate warm up song.

Watch my roll.

Watch my flip!

Thanks everyone!

Kindergarten Art Show

This weekend I got to show off my art projects at the K-1 Art Show.

This is the robot that my class designed. I made the robot's head with the friends at my table. We gave him rainbow colored hair in the back.

I've made lots of drawings and paintings in art class. This is one they framed and put on display.
