Happy New Year!

I'm not quite sure what a year is or why its new, but I sure do like to celebrate. Hats, horns, hot cocoa, and Harry Potter movie make for a great night!

What's a new year?

Its late, I want to go to bed, and take this stupid paper hat off me!

Movie time

Who wants to stay home from school and watch movies with Grandma and Grandpa? ME!!

Check out my two teeth. I've had them for a month now but this is the first good picture.

Riding

Thanks for my new wagon Ali! Nothing like a ride Christmas afternoon in 30 degree weather. I'm not sure if mom and dad wanted me to have fun or if they were trying to make me have an extra long nap.

I'm also not too sure that they should let Cole pull me. Anyone want to buy me a helmet?

new toys

Merry Christmas everyone! What a wonderful holiday. Santa gave me my most useful gift, a teether. This really helped take my mind off of my awful teeth pain so I could enjoy the day.

I got to open lots of presents from people who love me. I don't know why mommy kept throwing the paper away. I really liked that part of the present.

Cole kept "helping" me open my presents. I may be a baby but I wasn't born yesterday!

Again, Cole kept playing with my stuff. But I guess that works both ways. His dinosaurs are fun to chew on.

Look at that turkey! (You can guess who I'm referring to.) Everything in the kitchen looked and smelled so good, but still baby food for me.

Meet Monty

I like all my Christmas presents, but an early favorite has to be my robot dinosaur!

Christmas is Awesome!

Did you hear that Christmas just happened?! To get ready for the celebration I watched the Grinch and Charlie Brown Christmas nearly every day, I used my advent calendar every morning, I put up our Christmas tree with Todd, I visited Santa at the mall, I helped pick out toys for my brother, Dexter, Nina, and Ewan, I learned how to sing Jingle Bells, and starting Christmas Eve morning I had an Elf movie marathon. Was it all worth it, you ask? YES! Christmas is Awesome! Just like I was told, Santa ate my cookies and left presents in my stocking (and Luke's). He gave me the candy cane I wanted along with a Lightning McQueen blanket and cup, books, and some flip flops. After getting toys from Santa I got to open lots and lots of presents from mommy, daddy, Grandma, Grandpa, Nana, Grandfather, Ali, Dexter, Dan, Nina and Ewan. I am so loved! Here are some pictures from my day:

Here's Daddy's big, big, big yummy turkey.

Here is me and my Uncle Bob who came to help eat the turkey.

Here is me and daddy taking a snack break while opening presents.

Here is me checking my email. Yes even little kids have to work on Christmas sometimes. Just kidding! Thanks for my new computer Ali.

A Christmas Message From Cole

Vroom

I can drive too Dex!

Little bath tub

If Luke can take a bath in the sink then so can I. Plus I know how to use the faucet.

Santa!

Today mommy and grandma took me to the mall to see Santa! He looked just like I thought he would. We waited a really long time (1.5 hours), but it was worth it. For weeks I've been saying I wanted Santa to bring me dinosaurs, candy, drums, a Yo Gabba Gabba boom box, Harry Potter, or Lightning McQueen. But when he asked me what I wanted for Christmas all I could come up with is a candy cane. I hope he knows that I want all that other stuff too.

I told you the line was really long. You can't expect me to stand the whole time. I'm only 2!

Saint Luke

Today mommy and daddy threw a party in my honor. First I got dressed up and went to church. This time our priest rubbed lots of good smelling oils on my head and he washed my hair (not nearly as well as mommy does). He also gave me a candle, a card, and a rose. Then we went home and had a party with Mommy, Daddy, Cole, Grandma, Grandpa, Beth, Mark, Lauren, Mike, Joe and Emma.

Check out my cool outfit. Cole wore it two years ago, but it still looks brand new on me. Here's me and Grandma at church. Cole let me play with his snack cup.

Here is me and my Godmother Beth. She is sooo comfy. So are Lauren and Emma. Women love me.
This was the 3 layer carrot cake that mommy made me from scratch. Everyone said it was really yummy. Hmmmm... how come I only got bananas and oatmeal?

Perspective

Am I really small? Or is this couch really big?

Chef Cole

After always being told to get out of the kitchen, mommy finally let me do the cooking (mostly). I got to make gooey yummy, chocolate chip, sprinkled rice crispy treats.

Another bath?

Cole said he wanted to go swimming, so mommy took us swimming. I thought the kitchen sink was big!

Bath transition

My baby bath tub is getting to be too small and Cole's bath tub is way too big. I guess the kitchen sink is a good compromise. Got any dishes that need washing?

6 month checkup

I'm big, healthy, and smart, of course. I'm also done with my Rotovirus shots and got to drink my flu shot. I'm not sure why I got 3 other shots, I guess they were testing my pain tolerance? I can handle it no problem.

Mass..zzzz

Mommy told me that I will be going to church soon to get my head wet. Today I just went to check it out. I loved the music and all the smiling people. I was even able to toss my pacifier 3 rows in front of me. After a while it made me so sleepy. I'm glad the pews are padded.

Lights!

I'm still sad that Halloween is over, but these lights sure help. I especially like putting the plug in and out of the wall and watching mommy and daddy yell. They don't need to worry. I like electricity and I am careful.

Charlie Brown

Charlie Brown is on the tv with Snoopy. He has a show about Halloween and Thanksgiving. Daddy says he also has a show about Christmas but I haven't seen it yet. Mommy said for now I could see him in the newspaper. Well... he's there all right but it certainly isn't anything like a tv show.

6 months old

I'm 6 months old now! This month I got my first 2 teeth. I started eating cereal, sweet potatoes, green beans, carrots, bananas, and applesauce. They are all my favorite. I can sit up by myself and stand with help. I like to rock on my hands and knees and I can scoot around in circles and move backwards. I love to try to grab things that are just out of reach; with a little effort I always get them. I love to watch people, especially my big brother. He is always making me laugh. I love to play peek-a-boo and get tickled. I can make a lot of sounds now. Squealing is my current favorite. I sleep from 7pm to at least 5:30 am, waking up twice to eat. I take hour long naps at home and 15 minute naps at school. What is my most favorite thing to do? Hmmm... it is a tough choice, but I think #1 is mommy holding me and #2 is eating baby food.

Rock a baby

I love to smile and talk and rock on my hands and knees, oh yeah, and drool! I've got two teeth now!

See my Spiderman PJ's? That makes me Spiderman.

Spiderman has wings. Spiderman flies. Spiderman climbs walls (stairs).

Christmas fun

While I am sad that Halloween is over, it looks like Christmas will be fun too. There are lights up all over our neighborhood. Tonight we all went to a Christmas light parade. We got too see lots of lights, ducks, marching bands, and ice skating. My favorite thing about parades are the drums.

First snow

Yesterday I got to see my first snow. It was cold and wet and I had to wear a bear suit. Cole showed me how to eat the snow. He said it tasted like Fruit Loops. Darn it! I wish mommy had let me lick it off the patio furniture.

First tooth

For Thanksgiving I got my first tooth (bottom right). That should help with all the new baby food I've been eating (sweet potatoes, carrots, and now green beans). I love it all and my oatmeal. I tried to eat some of mommy's mashed potatoes at dinner but they tasted strange. My toes are a better snack.

Thanksgiving celebration

Thanksgiving is about driving in the car for a long time, watching tv with daddy, eating rolls and cranberry jelly, and dancing. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Potatoes

After spending the morning watching the food channel I felt compelled to play with Mr. Potato Head. I hope I don't have to cook him up for Thanksgiving dinner. He's too nice to eat.

Yum?

I've been really fussy these last few days. I keep trying to tell mommy that it is because my unseen teeth hurt. I chew as hard as I can on my fingers, hands and arms. I guess she thought it meant that I was really hungry. So, tonight she gave me my first taste of baby food. Cole, being my official food taster, had to try it first. He said he didn't like it but mommy gave it to me anyway. Too bad she didn't get a picture of me shuddering as I tried to swallow the so called "sweet" potatoes.

Phone calls

Hi Grandma! Remember when I called you the other day?

Halloween again

Cole seems so sad that Halloween is over. He still puts on his fireman costume sometimes. Yesterday he dressed up as a ghost, just like Charlie Brown. I tried to help by putting on some old Halloween pj's that Cole wore when he was a baby just like me. Happy Halloween Cole!

Chores

Every morning Mommy lets me give Abby her 5 scoops of food. I can do it because I'm big and I like the number 5.

Doctor visit?

I can appreciate Cole's interest in medicine, however I don't think his new toy medical kit qualifies him to be my doctor. Maybe I'll let him take my blood pressure, but he can forget the shots!
