Tonight Daddy showed up with a big, black, shiny car. It has a great big backseat that is fun to sit in. And best of all, it is going to take us to a magical and mysterious place called "the beach". Grandma and Grandpa will be there and Abby too. We will be gone for over a week! The only downside is that I won't be able to write on the Blog. So for all my fans out there, check back in a week or so for all my fun beach pics. I sure hope 2-day car rides are fun.

Serenade
Here's me playing an original composition titled "Baby's got a new pair of shoes."
Mom finally broke down and bought me my first pairs of shoes. I've got a green pair and a blue pair and they both taste the same.

Science and shopping
Here is a short silent video of me pushing a shopping cart at the science museum!
Science
Today mommy and Aunt Ali took me to the amazing science museum. I played with all kinds of water toys, climbed a tree house and slid down a slide, looked at frog and fish x-rays, chased balls all over the place, made music and lights, wore a fireman hat, goggles, and an ace bandage on my head (not all at the same time), pushed a shopping cart, flirted with a cute 1 year old girl, and ate macaroni and cheese. Whew! It was awesome and I officially love science.
This was my favorite toy. Watching the balls go down the ramps or just chewing on them.

Table manners
Like I've said before, I only really enjoy eating when I can feed myself. Finger foods are easy, but silverware is another story. If I have to eat baby food mommy and I both get a spoon. One day I hope that I only need to use mine.

Hi from Grandma's
Mom, dad, Abby, and I spent yesterday and today at Grandma and Grandpa's. I had tons of fun getting hugs and kisses, going on walks, playing with some fun toys Grandma got me, and eating dinner with everyone. Grandma has a special high chair just for me. Supposedly it is older than daddy. Wow! That is old.

Eleven Months Old!
Yippee! Another month has flown by. And what an exciting month it has been. At the top of the fun list is swimming in the pool. I've been a ton of times and it is definitely the most fun you can have on a hot summer day. I also have started eating dinner with mommy and daddy. Actually, I'd like to take a moment to say that I'm pretty tired of being spoon-fed. I've got two hands and I know how to use them. They've let me feed myself chicken, corn, green beans, Stove Top stuffing, peaches, pasta with meat sauce, and even BBQ pulled pork. Yum. My favorite foods are anything I can feed myself or anything that mommy or daddy is eating. I love to share. I have also added "Abby" to my short list of words that I can regularly say (the other one is "Uh-Oh"), and I can wave hello and good-bye (when I'm in the mood). Also, I always sleep through the night now. In fact, I can't remember the last time I woke up before 6:30 a.m., my preferred rise time. In celebration of 11 months, I've posted a few pics of me goofing around today.
Here's me practicing my mean left-handed curve ball.
Finally I got my hands on the most important object in the house, the TV remote!
Peek-A-Boo! I see mommy under the rocking chair.

Water sports
Yesterday mommy and daddy took me to the biggest bathtub I have ever seen. But unlike fun bath time, the water wasn't very warm and I couldn't feel the bottom. Overall, it was a pretty scary situation for me, but mom and dad seemed to have a lot of fun. Maybe this is some kind of game that is only fun for big people? After a while I did find a big ball to play with, and it even made going in the water not so bad. Maybe it will grow on me.
