Missing Nana

I had a great time visiting with Nana. I had a lot of fun on her visit. I did take naps on her, eat lunch with her, and wake her up in the middle of the night several times. I also got to say hi to her brother and sisters. She also brought me some fun toys and books to eat. I hope she comes back to see me soon.

Drinks anyone?

Daddy gave me this fun toy. Whenever I chew on it it plays the OSU fight song, which is one of my favorite lullabies. He also told me that it is good for opening bottles. I don't quite get that because I've never seen him use it on one of my bottles.

Fun with nana

It has been a great visit so far with nana. I've told her lots of stories, showed her how good I am at standing and jumping, and took a long nap on her. I love her so much that I even woke her up at 2 in the morning just to say hi.

Nana's here zzzzzz....

I tried to stay up to give my Nana a Valentine's day kiss, but I got so excited that I fell asleep.

Help me!

Is this baby jail? How will I ever get out of this thing? Its no fair, just because I threw up all over mommy's pants I get put in this big basket. Oh wait... there are toys in here! No worries, I'm good.

7 months

That's right! I'm 7 months old now. Time sure flies when you are having fun. It has been an exciting month full of new foods and new activities. I've tried most of the foods in the baby food aisle at the store. I love squash, corn, sweet potatoes, pears, turkey, chicken, and bananas with mixed berries. I hate peas, and really don't much care for bananas alone, peaches, or applesauce. I also love feeding myself crackers and drinking water from my sippy cup. I can easily stand holding on to mom or dad and I do the army crawl all over the living room. I've also figured out that if I reach my arms toward mommy or daddy they will pick me up (the dog however does not seem to care about this). In addition to my perfected da-da-das and aaaahhh noises, I can do ra-ra, buh, and muh. I also got my first haircut and started taking baths in the big bathtub. Whew! I am such a busy baby.

Hair cut

Mommy cut my hair today. I'm not sure if I like it or not. She let me look in the mirror afterwards, but all I saw was another baby. His hair looked good to me.

Yummy

Just like mommy and daddy, I love eating take-out.

Da da

Here is a picture of me telling daddy all about my day today. At school I got to play with lots of dried oats and cups, I listened to my teachers sing songs, I stole Naomi's toys from her, and I ate some carrots and cereal. Then mommy picked me up at lunch and took me to the grocery store. I got to ride in the cart which is my favorite. Then I came home and took a long nap.

Hmmm... all he does is smile and nod at me. The only real reaction I get is when I say da da. I don't think he understands baby talk.

I know it may not look like it, but I am getting better at this drinking thing.

Vowels

I'm really good at saying "aaah", so I'm working on a new sound. I am trying to say "Oooo" but so far all I can do is make my lips into the right shape. Next I have to actually have a sound come out. This talking thing is hard!

Moving

I'm trying to learn to crawl. I can get onto my hands and knees for a second but then my belly drags me down. Its so frustrating!
