Mt. Vernon

One of the great things about Ali living in Virginia is that she is near all kinds of interesting places. During our visit we spent the day at George Washington's home, Mt. Vernon. It is not just a home. It is also an historical farm and a museum. I loved every bit of it.

George Washington had a great backyard. He would look at this very tree when he sat on the back porch!

We learned that every Christmas, they have a camel at Mt. Vernon. He was very friendly.
