U.S. Capitol

The U.S. Capitol is in D.C. It is where the country's leaders work. The leaders are people grown-ups vote for. This is what I've been told. The building is very cool and filled with statues and paintings.

The outside doesn't look so great right now.

We all ate in the cafeteria, watched a movie, and took a tour with a very smart man who told us all about everything. I think he liked me a lot because I asked him lots of questions.

There were lots of statues of important people. Every state gets to have a statue.

I tried to catch Speaker Boehner but he wasn't in because of the holiday. Maybe next time.
