Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception

One of the best things we saw this summer in Washington DC was the fanciest Catholic Church I've ever seen. This church honors Mary and has all kinds of statues and pictures of her. I think we'd have to go back a few more times to see everything.








This was our favorite chapel, Our Lady of Lebanon.

Look! Babe Ruth has a plaque here.

And... we met Pope Francis! Just kidding. It was a card board cutout.

This is way bigger than our church!
