Wild Friday at School

There are only a few more weeks of school left and we have been doing a ton of fun stuff. We just finished our first week of a two week camp program. Every day we learn about wildlife, walk in the nature preserve, sing camp songs, talk about camp safety, we even sat in real tent and watched a naturalist make a fire with flint. Of course we also find time for math and language. We've counted and graphed how many of us have been camping, and we've learned about homophones like deer-dear and bear-bare.

Today we took time out for two exciting activities and mom came to our class to help out! In the morning, we rode the school bus to the high school football stadium to compete in the K1 Olympics. We won one game of boo yah and a relay race. We had lots of fun, but it wasn't enough for the golden shoe.

Me and my best friend at school, Arnav!

In the afternoon the art teacher helped us sign a brick and put our hand print on the wall. Mine is by the window near the gym. It will be there forever!

I love that. The police can track all those students.
